What’s close to the cabin

• Hoodoo Ski Area. Closest ski hill — straight west on Highway 20 toward Santiam Pass. Family terrain, night skiing, Autobahn tubing, and Nordic trails. You may also see it written Hoo Doo or HooDoo.
• Sisters. Next town up Highway 20. Shops, dinner, and events without going back into Bend.
• Tumalo Feed Co. A great steakhouse in Tumalo.
• Sanda · Bowtie Catering. Sanda Costello’s catering for events large or small — and private chef dinner samples if you want an elegant night at the cabin. Book on her site.
• Sisters Coffee and bakery. Coffee and bakery in Sisters.
• Downtown Bend / Old Mill. Back toward town when you want the bigger Bend night.
• Smith Rock. North via Highway 97. Cliffs and canyon — go early in summer heat.
• Mt. Bachelor. Farther than Hoodoo — about 30–40 minutes. A day trip if you want the bigger mountain.
• Dee Wright Observatory. Lava-rock lookout on McKenzie Pass. The pass is often snow-closed in winter.
• Black Butte Trail. A hike up Black Butte with a wide Central Oregon view.
• Tumalo State Park. Picnic tables and grills are set up. Good for a packed lunch by the river.
